How to transfer extra patients from tablet when away from the office eg. When a venue gets substituted during the day

Dropbox or another cloud storage is required on at least one office computer and all the tablets/laptops that get taken out on visits.

This MUST be done first in the OFFICE:

  1. Go into “Opticabase Home”
  2. Go into “Transfer for Optoms”
  3. Click on “Import Pxs from Opticabase”
  4. Import them as usual for that day which should include the new patients for the day
  5. Close that screen so you are on the cloud save screen
  6. Choose the Optometrist Name from the dropdown list in the middle.
  7. Click on “Pre visit save to cloud

At least 2 minutes later, on the TABLET:

  1. Connect the tablet to the internet and wait for a minute for the data to download from the cloud
  2. Go into Opticabase Home
  3. Go into Transfer for Optoms
  4. Choose the Optometrist Name from the dropdown list in the middle.
  5. Click on “Optom Export Patients” (bottom right of screen)

(that sends the Pxs already seen into the cloud for the ofiice to import)

Then on the tablet:

  1. Click on “Optom Import Patients” (bottom left of screen)

(that imports all the pxs for the day including the ones already seen which should be ignored)

2 minutes later in the Office:

  1. Go into Opticabase Home
  2. Go into Transfer for Optoms
  3. Choose the Optometrist Name from the dropdown list in the middle.
  4. Click on “Post visit use cloud”

Now you need to check that the patients that have been seen have transferred to the computer, then you export them to Opticabase.

  1. Close that screen and go into Pxs for exams to check they look like the Pxs that were seen
  2. Go into “Transfer for Optoms” again
  3. Click on “Export Pxs back to Opticabase”
  4. Transfer all back to Opticabase as usual

Transfer from the tablet at the end of the day as usual
