- Sign up with MailaDoc (unless already done) https://mailadoc.co.uk/clients/account-application-dd-opticabase/
- Make sure you have the MailaDoc “Printer Driver”/”Hot Folder” installed.
- In Opticabase go to “Reminders” and click on “Export for Address Validation”.
- Choose whether you want to check just the patient’s addresses who are selected in “Select Reminders”.

- The file for export will be saved in theMailaDoc folder on your computer that will automatically open. Move the file to your desktop to make it easy to find when uploading it to MailaDoc for checking
- Log in to your MailaDoc account at https://officemail.oursmart.co.uk/
- Move your mouse over “Mail” to bring up the menu and click on “Validate Addresses”

- Click on “Choose file” and browse to your desktop and choose “Address Validation” file.


- Click on “Validate Now” on the far right top.

- Once the validation has been done, click on the “Bad Addresses” and download them. You can then open that downloaded file and check which addresses are incorrect and you can correct them in Opticabase.

You should also download the Validated Addresses and check to see which have 32200 in the column next to the postcode column as those postcodes have been corrected. Again go to each patient and correct the addresses.
